A very interesting case was settled yesterday, involving the wife of famed comedian Jerry Seinfeld and another author. Jessica Seinfeld was found innocent of plagiarizing from a children's cookbook, titled "The Sneaky Chef" by Missy Chase Lapine. Both books it appears have a similar theme, which is what is the most interesting thing about the story.
What Ms Lapine's book and Seinfeld's Deceptively Delicious book does is offer recipes for children that "Hides Healthy Foods in Kid's Favorite Meals." It seems like a winning idea. So they are embedding nutritious foods within a palpable meal, just the way Dr. Molly Barrow, in her new adventure story, embeds self esteem building concepts for children. To empower children and make them safer, Dr. Barrow has infused these subtle positive messages throughout her book, Malia & Teacup - Awesome African Adventure. Both theories are related to the Mary Poppins notion of a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down. Both cookbook authors and Dr. Barrow should be complimented for their efforts to help make the lives of our children better.
