Today, a Florida magazine interviewed Dr. Molly Barrow for an upcoming issue. The magazine ebella will feature Dr. Barrow in their family issue. Interviewed not only about her new book, Malia & Teacup - Awesome African Adventure, Dr. Barrow answered questions about her own childhood and family, and questions about her family and step-children. Much of the two hours was taken up talking about how important self esteem is in a child's life and how a child benefits from reaching high self esteem. Dr. Barrow explained her "Empowerment Theory" and how her book for ages 9 and up will add psychological armor to the children, protecting them from bullies, predators and abuse. By building their self worth they will build a safety net around themselves. They need to be taught that they deserve to be treated well, and when bad things happen it is not there fault.
